Aurélien Claranbaux started the accordion at 16 years old. During his concerts, he always had a curious eye over the shoulder of the sound engineer... Then the group "Nous Sommes des Chiens" asked him to become their sound engineer in 2009.

Doing sound in very varied conditions (places, equipments) allowed him to develop his ear, as well as his technical skills : choice of microphones, adaptations to musicians' requests, speed of the sound checks.

Recording groups in atypical places (houses, attics, open-air) led him to appreciate natural acoustics, sometimes original ones (recording of an accordion in a bathroom...).

It was these sound discoveries that fueled his desire to open his own studio, allowing him to work in a large and versatile acoustic space. He has recorded many albums in different musical styles (jazz, traditional, rock, classical...) in various places, whether recording studios, concert halls, houses..., has expanded his material (microphones, preamps, interface, monitors ...) over the years, with the evolution of his ears and his techniques.

The studio continues to lead him to work on the recording of a wide variety of instruments, including the capture of an orchestra of 20 musicians.
“This is really the pleasure of bringing a group into the sound universe that defines them, together looking for the microphone and the placement that will best transcribe this sound, this emotion. The recording of the album "L'homme sans tête" by the band "Ciac Boom" at the beginning of 2019 really allowed me this exploration”.
